Loch Palm opened in 1993 as the calmer half of the old tin-mine valley it shares with Red Mountain. The front nine wanders between lakes and palm stands; the back nine lifts into the hills for the long views, then settles back to the colonial-style clubhouse.
A late-2019 redesign by Jon Morrow, the architect behind Red Mountain, tightened the course to a par 71 of 5,991 yards from the blues and renewed the playing surfaces with Zoysia grass. The standout is the par-3 15th: 161 yards on the card, but the green sits a hundred feet below the tee, so the wind makes the club choice for you.

About the caddie
A caddie is mandatory at Loch Palm, and on the water holes their lines are worth strokes. The caddie fee is generally inside the green fee; the cash tip on top, commonly 300 to 500 THB for 18 holes, is paid directly to them at the end of the round.
